- Angela Hammontree – Lead Vocals
Angela Hammontree is a native Northwest singer, musician, and songwriter. She has been writing and performing original music for several years and, with her project the Angela Hammontree Band, has taken the stage at numerous venues and festivals in western Washington. With the focus of her original music turning toward writing and recording in recent months, Angela began looking for a cover project that would keep her performing for live audiences. She found a shared appreciation of classic rock music with the members of Rock Steady and, as their lead vocalist, enjoys paying homage to the bands that originally inspired her to become a musical artist.
Bill Cantlon - Drums/Percussion
Bill was born and raised in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame city of Cleveland, Ohio. Bill played in several local Seattle bands back in the '70s and '80s. The past two and half years, Bill managed and played drums with Seattle’s own Heart tribute band, Straight On. Bill recently played with former Heart members Roger Fisher, Steve Fossen, and Michael Derosier as well as Randy Hansen, Dudley Taft, Gregg Fox, and Rick Knotts of Rail. Bill’s favorite quote comes from Guitar Legend Joe Shikany; “Play like it is your last 90 minutes on stage”.
Dave Wilson - Lead Guitar/Backing Vocals
Dave has lived in the Seattle area most of his life, playing guitar in an eclectic mix of different bands from Auburn to Bellingham and in several genres, including classic rock (Cornerstone, Brittany, and Rock Steady); progressive rock (Aurilyn); and jazz (in the award-wining Auburn High Jazz Ensemble), along with various acoustic guitar endeavors and projects. A life-long devotee to the six-string, Dave cites his primary influences as Jimmy Page, Steve Howe, Roy Buchannan, and the Beatles.
Dave Lavin - Bass Guitar/Backing Vocals
Dave is a Seattle area native and has played in performing bands since the late 1960s (you do the math). His band Oscar Wylde was a frequent and familiar guest at well known clubs during the 1970s, including My Place (SeaTac) and Aquarius (north Seattle). Having played in several bands since then, he has also offered his talents to Eastside churches with music ranging from rock and folk to upbeat gospel. Most recently, he performed with Rear View Mirror, a '60s mod theme band where he actually donned a Beatles wig, providing lead vocals. In addition to his duties with Rock Steady, Dave is also involved in another project called Leading Edge, a 7-piece rock/R&B band.
